We create strong relationships with everyone, our residents and their friends and families, and work hard to ensure that residents, staff, and their loved ones feel valued and respected.
Kim joined us in January 2008 as registered manager of Aspen Court Nursing Home. Her career in care spans over 30 years, working for Somerset Mental Health Partnership in various capacities including Staff Nurse, Community Outreach Nurse and managing wards. Throughout her career, Kim has gained many sector specific qualifications including her NVQ Level 4 Leadership & Management qualification for registered managers.
Kim’s love of her job and her residents is clearly displayed by her work ethic; she is a dedicated, loyal manager who is respected by all.
Jacob has been working at Aspen Court for 18 years, initially as a RGN and now as the Deputy Manager. He has seen may changes in the years he has worked for us and is well respected by the team and Care Professionals. He is an excellent leader who promotes the home values of respect, kindness, dignity and trust.
Alan works as part of the admin team as well as part of the care team. He has amazing IT skills and is a great support to not only the admin team but also the nursing team. He is our ‘go to’ guy and no question is ever too small. He is a great support to us all.
Velma is a very experienced nurse who has worked for Aspen Court for 6 years. She is very passionate about the care of our residents and always ensures they receive the best care. Velma is a very bubbly lady whose enjoyment of life is passed to all who know her.
Loussy is an experienced nurse who has been part of Aspen Court nursing team for many years. She is very skilled and has an excellent knowledge base.
Seenu Joseph works as part of the care team. She is a clear leader which is evident from her nursing background. She is kind, caring and supportive to all staff and sensitive to residents needs, able to anticipate individual needs. Seenu is a valued member of the care team.
Mariya is part of our care team and also has a nursing background. She is an excellent carer who has compassion and understanding of care.
Saji works as part of the care team, he is a very caring and kind. Saji often promotes care to residents who require extra care and support. He has a calm reassuring approach, very compassionate.
Jerin part of our wonderful care team. He is kind, patient and very caring. Like Saji, Jerin is part of the team that provides extra care and support to residents who have more complex needs. He is very kind and calm, offering reassurance.
Richard has been the Activity Coordinator at Aspen Court for almost 3 years and has recently been promoted to Activities Lead, leading the activity teams at both Aspen Court and Cedar Lodge (our sister home, next door). We love that Richard thinks outside of the box creating such diverse and inclusive activities.
Kathy works alongside Richard as part of the Activities team. Together they are very special; Kathy promotes choice and preferences, encouraging residents to have a voice. Kathy is very calm and reassuring in her approach and always sees the best in people.
Adina works as part of the housekeeping team and is also the in-house trainer. Adina is very passionate about training and always ensures staff receive training to very high standard. She always strives to learn more to increase her knowledge which she loves to share.
Audrey is a much valued member of the housekeeping team. It is clear that she enjoys her job as she always has a lovely smile on her face. Audrey is very kind and is always helpful to everyone, colleagues, residents and their families.
